Dr. Allison Funk
Physical Therapist
Allison Funk PT, DPT, ATC, earned her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Alabama in 2019. While at Alabama, she worked with a variety of Division I athletic teams, local high school athletes and interned with a professional lacrosse team, Chesapeake Bayhawks. Allison returned home to obtain her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Baltimore. During her time there, she worked with University of Maryland College Park and UMBC division I athletics and focused on research for lower extremity return to sport testing.
Prior to joining the FX team, Dr. Funk worked in an outpatient orthopedics setting. There she witnessed and treated a variety of patient populations with orthopedic and neurological injuries, including chronic low-back pain, balance impairments and post-operative rehabilitation for total knee replacements and meniscus repairs. Allison has a passion for treating post-operative patients and active adults. She values community involvement, personalized patient care and assisting patients in achieving their personal goals in order to return to what they love.
Outside the clinic, Allison loves to stay active through Pilates and group fitness classes in Baltimore, enjoys trying out new restaurants and is looking forward to playing pickleball and golfing.
