Katelyn is the first person who has truly understood my hypermobility and is helping me to manage it. Her understanding and thoughtful demeanor helps me look forward to PT and relax my muscles while I'm there. The front desk is friendly and welcoming and I can't help but mention the cozy vibes of the office that don't make me feel like I'm on display at PT as I have felt in the past.
Thank you guys❤️

I mainly worked with Sam and Katelyn. Both of these ladies are amazing to work with. They consistently asked about how I was feeling, my goals that I wanted to accomplish throughout this process, and they listened and addressed every concern. Giving me the exercise plan needed to help me heal and return to my daily activities and my life. I've enjoyed our conversations and laughing with these ladies. Their professionalism, patience, and the compassion shown was an outstanding experience. Thank you and you are appreciated!

FX PT Towson has exceptional physical therapists. The FX model is based on one-on-one manual therapy. Incredible location with the PT associated with the Mine gym, at the Shops at Kenilworth. The PTs including Chrissy, Katelyn and Sam have impressive credentials & qualifications. Their focus is on maximizing health and resilience. Based on my treatment experience at previous physical therapy practices, FX is worthy of more than 5 stars. I give FX PT Towson at Kenilworth my highest recommendation. FX PT Towson should be the benchmark for PT practices.
The front desk personnel are very customer service oriented. Ionya is terrific and consistently goes above and beyond to assist with scheduling and general questions. Excellent front desk representatives for FX.

FX therapy is the best! I went to the location in Kenilworth and had Sam who, at the time, was instructing a 3rd year PT student, Christy! Both of them were knowledgeable, accommodating and prepared. From the start, they clearly identified the problem and had a plan for my recovery from lower back/sciatic nerve pain. I really appreciated Sam’s commitment to her patients and training new PTs. I am leaving with great relief from my pain and exercises to keep everything in check! Thank you Sam and Christy!

Katelyn is an exceptional physical therapist who is extremely professional and genuinely attentive to her patients’ needs. She takes the time to listen, understands the root of the problem, and creates a treatment plan that truly works. Her expertise and hands-on approach made a tremendous difference in my recovery, helping relieve pain and restore strength and mobility. Thanks to Katelyn, I felt supported and confident throughout the entire healing process. I highly recommend her to anyone recovering from an injury or dealing with ongoing pain.

Rubin was wonderful to work with! He created personalized plans tailored to each stage of my PT journey — a long road consisting of many months pre and post surgery. Rubin was encouraging, patient, and supportive. I’m 50 and lead an active life, working out several times a week. Without Rubin, I would not be back to skiing, cycling, walking and weight training. Rubin supported my fitness goals and I’m so grateful!

I worked with Rubin for about 9 months on a gnarly ankle injury and he was immensely helpful. He’s helped me become more confident in movements and regain mobility. He’s super easy to talk to, funny, and knowledgeable. I have a physically demanding job and he was always easy going when I was sore or hadn’t slept after a shift. I’m happy to be released from PT, but I’m bummed I don’t get to chat with him every week! Hopefully I won’t have any future injuries, but I’ll definitely be going back to him if anything happens. The whole team is great—shoutout to Ally!

FX Physical Therapy in Towson is top notch. I worked with Dr. Sam Balog and she was incredible. She is a great physical therapist and is extremely warm, friendly and professional. She took the time to really help me improve the function of my shoulder. I have worked with several PT's over the years, and this was by far my best experience. I would not hesitate to return to FX Physical Therapy and Dr. Balog if I ever need PT in the future.

Sam has been wonderful in helping me recover from tennis elbow. She’s knowledgeable, supportive, and a joy to work with. I appreciated that she never discouraged me from playing—instead, she helped me safely modify my activity. Sam’s knowledge for my injury, tailored treatment plan, and encouraging attitude really made my experience at Physical Therapy positive and effective. Highly recommend!

In October, 2024, I had a severe case of sciatica and contacted Alexis Rowland, FX Physical Therapy in Towson, MD. Alexis’ knowledge, professionalism and therapy plan contributed to my recovery. The first several sessions involved lower back massages, glute bridges and back strengthening exercises.
When the sciatica pain didn’t go away in a few weeks, Alexis incorporated dry needling into each session. After a few weeks, I noticed less and less sciatica pain.
A few weeks later, I re-injured the shoulder that had a rotator cuff tear, and Alexis immediately concentrated our sessions on shoulder therapy while continuing lower back compressions and exercises. After five plus months of active therapy, I feel great!
A sincere thank you to Alexis for making physical therapy a successful and positive experience! I highly recommend FX Physical Therapy.

First time in PT and didn’t know what to expect. My PT was for post shoulder surgery and I was concerned about making a 100% recovery to pre shoulder injury ability (which was years ago). Rubin was extremely professional (setting up a personalized program, walking me through the exercises purpose, educating me on function of muscles and ligaments and making it fun when possible) but he also invested in the patient/practitioner relationship. PT is a process of continual improvement which demands patience and invokes emotion when certain physical limitations are persistent. Rubin was there every step of the way reinforcing the trust in the process. As a result, I am at 100% functionality. I can’t thank Rubin enough and the strong team at FX Kenilworth. Go Stars.

I could not have had a better experience and result than I did working with FX Therapy during my rehab after a shoulder replacement. The scheduling was easy and flexible if an adjustment was required. Alexis was the best, providing the appropriate blend of concern and push to reach the result I was hoping for. I also watched other therapists treat their clients with a similar level of care.

Went for a few appointments and paid my balance every time that I went in. Almost two years later, they sent me to collections over $30 -- never once called, emailed, or sent any form of paper bill notifying me of an unpaid balance. The PT itself was fine, nothing spectacular.

Avoid. Apparently if you have a balance rather than actually calling you to tell you about the balance they don’t say anything and wait for it to go to a debt collections agency. Go to medstar instead!

I had to go to physical therapy for a torn hamstring tendon. My orthopedic surgeon had recommended FX. My therapist was Mr. Rubin Chavarria. He did an excellent job.
He was always patient, always helpful, and would always explain the purpose of the exercises he was having me do at the FX venue as well as the purpose of the exercises that he recommended that I do at home. For the exercises to be done at home, he sent me very detailed and clear instructions with pictures.
The torn hamstring was very painful before I started physical therapy. It is now fully healed, to a large extent thanks to Mr. Chavarria.

I am an aging dance teacher. Before coming to FX, I experienced physical therapy administered by half a dozen professionals over the range of my career. Some of those practitioners helped me through a physical crisis and some made my condition worse. Sean and Alexis at FX are the only practitioners who have truly provided healing. They have educated and nurtured me and have transformed my physical experience and quality of life. I am so grateful for the exceptional care that they have provided me.

Had my first PT visit at the The Mine. The facility is top shelf.
As impressed as I was with the facility my therapist made an even greater impression. I don't know if many people would say that their therapy was fun but Samantha had a way of creating that atmosphere for me. Nothing better than looking forward to your next visit. Thanks Sam.

This therapy place is top notch!! I've been attending weekly sessions for approximately 7 months. I STRONGLY recommend FX. Towson if you want quality hands on therapy along with strength and conditioning training this is definitely a place you should check out. (Sam,Pat, Alexis and Kristen) are all extremely friendly, educated, thorough, and most importantly know what's the best plan for the patient.
There are many choices when it comes to places for PT. But FX. is my most recommended. An more important you as the patient see the same therapist repeatedly so you don't have to re live your injury every time you attend to a new therapist. But I like that it's all therapy and not being put in the corner and checked on every few minutes.
FX Motto should be:
" no ice no heat just hands on therapy"

Sam has helped me tremendously with my low back/hip pain - with a combination of deep tissue massage and exercises, I'm well on the road to recovery.
The practice is in The Mine at Kenilworth shopping center, which is a gorgeous fitness facility - the setting is clean and modern and everyone I've encountered has been friendly and helpful.
They say the best PT place is the one closest to wherever you are because you are more likely to go, but I think FX in Towson is worth going to wherever you are located!

Love Katelyn. I followed her from another PT when she started at FX. She changes up my workout so I don't get bored and encourages me to keep trying. She's fun and makes me laugh, and I'm 74! Would recommend her to anyone no matter your age.

I have been seeing Sam twice a week since April 28th. I have problems with balance and use a rollator when walking outside my home. She is excellent and listens to my concerns. I have noticed a great improvement and have more confidence in my walking and gait. I also try to walk at the Kenilworth Mall with my rollator each morning before the mall opens to the public. In past years I have been to many places for physical therapy and can't say enough about how great this one to one therapy has been that FX offers.

Pat was able to work me through some muscle injuries to my back, used a combination of massage, dry needling, estim, and cupping. I appreciated the various modes of treatment and felt it was beneficial, resulting in quicker recovery. He did not push for more sessions than were necessary. I also liked the ability to review the stretches and exercises he prescribed via online videos vs paper printouts.

FX Physical Therapy is a special and amazing place. Sadly I have been in PT a lot. This is my go-to place--- I go there before the doctor because every single time I have gone, they "fix" my issue. I like that there is a plan to get better and get me out of there--- no prolonging unnecessary sessions for the sake of billing. The owner Jared is an excellent therapist, and it all starts at the top the team are pros and excellent. Pat is utterly my favorite!-- he is a great combination of let's get this done-- and super friendly. I feel this place listens to the patient, and I have found them to be accurate in diagnosis and treatments. There is no other practice I have seen like FX. Go to this place if your goal is getting stronger and back to your activities!

I have had previous experiences with PT, but they didn’t compare to my experience with Pat at FX. First of all, he is extremely personable and we felt like fast friends. Aside from that, he just really cares about his clients and making sure he is figuring out the true root of the problem. He never rushed me in and out but always took his time to provide the care I needed during each session. The exercises he provided have helped tremendously and he was always looking to go the extra mile with different techniques and modalities to expedite my healing. Also, as an added bonus, he was super sweet with my kids when they had to join me at appointments. So much so, they keep asking to tell Mr Pat they said hello! They want to go back and play with all of the fun stuff in his office. So sweet. I just couldn’t recommend him enough and know where I’ll return should I need to one day. Thanks Pat.

Pat is amazing - not only is he a genuinely kind person, but also a talented physical therapist. He is knowledgeable and has great eye for assessing the whole body to figure out what is the real source of a problem. The office is beautiful (and so bright with tons of windows) and he has access to some amazing equipment at The Mine which makes his therapy really innovative and effective. I've been seeing him for a neck injury and have seen huge improvements. I trust him so much that my son is now seeing him for a knee injury! Highly recommend Pat and FX!
