My review is specifically for the Pikesville, Maryland location.
One of the main reasons I chose FX Physical Therapy was because of its one-on-one treatment model. I specifically sought out individualized care rather than a larger clinic where therapists are treating multiple patients at the same time. Given the complexity of my condition, I believed the one-on-one approach would provide the focused attention and clinical expertise necessary to address my concerns.
I have been a patient at FX Physical Therapy on and off for over a year and a half. My condition is complex and involves issues with my cervical spine, lumbar spine, legs, feet, balance, gait, and what I believe may be a leg-length discrepancy. From the very beginning, I made the clinic aware of the complexity of my condition and the concerns I was experiencing.
Throughout my treatment, I repeatedly raised concerns about changes in my gait, balance, foot positioning, worsening symptoms, and my overall lack of progress. These concerns were not only discussed during appointments, but I also communicated many of them through email so there would be documentation of what I was experiencing throughout the course of my treatment.
I understand that I was not always consistent with attending therapy sessions. However, part of the reason for that inconsistency was that there were times when I felt worse after performing certain exercises or following certain treatment recommendations. As a result, I often questioned whether the treatment approach was helping my condition and sometimes needed to step back because of how I was feeling physically.
I also frequently felt rushed during my appointments. Because I typically attended therapy sessions after work in the evening, I often felt that there was limited time to fully discuss my concerns. There were many occasions when I felt that documentation and watching the clock took priority over thoroughly evaluating the issues I was reporting. I often left appointments feeling unheard and without the individualized attention that I expected from a one-on-one treatment environment.
I understand that every physical therapist needs experience, and I have nothing personal against my therapist. However, I only learned two days ago that he has approximately two years of experience. Given the complexity of my condition, I believe I should have been matched with a more experienced physical therapist much earlier in the process rather than spending more than over a year attempting to manage a case that may have required a higher level of expertise from the start.
What has been most disappointing is that after more than a year of treatment, I was informed that my case may be beyond my therapist's level of experience. During our most recent discussion on June 4, 2026, he indicated that he would reach out to a more experienced physical therapist within the FX organization at the Timonium, Maryland location to determine whether that therapist would be willing to take over my care. As of the date of this review, I have not received any response and do not know whether my case will be accepted.
I cannot help but wonder why this determination was not made much earlier. Had I been evaluated and matched with a therapist whose experience aligned with the complexity of my condition from the beginning, my treatment journey may have looked very different.

I have been seeing Jen for the last 4 years. Over the years I have seen many physical therapists, but Jen has been the best therapist that I have worked with. Jen is very professional, always has a smile and I always feel better when I leave. When her former employer decided to retire and close his business, the first thing I ask was where will be going to, so I could continue seeing her. I have recommended her to my family and friends and will continue to do so. I have had 4 surgeries in the past 4 years, and I always come back to Jen. I just hope that Jen doesn't stop doing this type of work, at least untill my doctors get my back right. I will always try to pick Jen, for all of my physical therapy needs.

FX Physical Therapy is awesome! and Tzvi Wolkonfeld, my PT, is great! He has provided so much excellent therapy to help me cope with my Vertigo. He medically explained Vertigo and provided exercises to treat it at the onset. I am able to get same day appointments. He has made it possible to handle what is a new medical condition for me at 76 years of age. I am truly thankful for his professional, highly educated treatment.

Sean has been very helpful in diagnosing my pain. He has explained it to me and now is working on making me feel better. He is listening to me and has come up with a plan. After 3 weeks of Therapy I am feeling better already.

Sean is outstanding and really helped me to overcome very painful sciatica symptoms. He is very knowledgeable about how the muscles and nerves throughout the body interact. Sean and Mary are exceptionally talented physical therapists. I'm very grateful to be under their care! After years of pain, I am finally getting relief. I had been to other PTs before (elsewhere) with no results. The front desk staff are also great: very friendly, caring, and attentive. Overall the whole team goes above and beyond! My therapist is Mary Williams. I can’t say enough positive about her care. She has listened to my complaints and responded with therapeutic modalities both varied and effective, from massage & exercise to isometrics, all of which have reduced my pain & stiffness. In addition she has demonstrated a strong knowledge of the muscles, joints and nerves involved, always seeming to choose remedies for my particular complaints for that particular day. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking physical therapy for their ailments. And to be sure, she is a very kind, thoughtful, friendly and patient practioner.

Mary is the absolute best! Morgan sets me up with appts and is so kind to work with.
I've been to other Pts which are good at healing injuries, but are lacking the athletic portion which allows you to not just heal but to go back to sports, lifting, and life stronger and better than pre injury.
I now know how to do everything I was doing prior to back and knee surgery, but with more ability and confidence than prior to injury. I am in much better position to not just maintain my strength but also prevent future injury

What can I say? My therapist Mary is sociable, kind and attentive as well as being professional! She addresses my pain tolerance and actual listens to me! Morgan is very flexible in scheduling appointments based on my schedule! I also love that I have assess to an actual gym to further work on my joints!! Before my session my pain level in my knees was a good 8, now it’s around a 2! I really love coming here and would highly recommend this facility!!

When I started physical therapy with Dr. Sean Jones I was recovering from an episode of back pain caused by lumbar spinal stenosis. Sean saw that I had muscle asymmetries, wasn’t holding my pelvis level and had a mild scoliosis, and he recommended exercises (mostly whole body movements utilizing gym equipment) to correct the asymmetry. Results were noticeable within six weeks. I was amazed at the results to be gained by working with an excellent physical therapist, because my developing scoliosis had been noted over the years by many doctors, including my primary care physician, an orthopedic surgeon, and a chiropractor, and none of them had suggested that there was anything I could do to correct it. I feel that the physical therapy instruction I have been receiving is the most highly personalized health care I have ever received.

I really like FX Therapy-Pikeville. The workers there are very kind and helpful and my therapist Mary is excellent. I started to feel the different the 1st day I was there. I would recommend this place to all my family and friends.

I've been coming to FX Pikesville for about 7 months for help with neuropathy post radiation treatment. Mary W is the consummate professional whose hands-on treatment in addition to a variety of well-researched exercises and stretches have afforded me great relief. Morgan at the front desk is always polite and helpful with scheduling (even when I show up on the wrong day). This is a team to be commended for sincere care and effective relief of pain.

Highly recommend Abbie - she's been my PT for back issues for about a year now and has been excellent to work with. She takes the time each appointment to check in on progress and to address any new problems. Whether it's manual therapy or through a variety of exercises, she is always effective in helping me improve my current issues and prevent future issues from cropping up.
