I had a fantastic experience at FX physical therapy with John Huchrowski. The staff is mostly male (if that matters to you), but as a woman I never felt anything but professionalism, and friendly welcome by all the staff. I spent several months being treated there and consistently felt encouraged, strengthened, and respected by my PT. John made sure I understood everything about what was going on with my knee, open to any questions, and explained the science to me so I could better understand the inner working of my knee. I felt confident and comfortable trusting his advice and guidance with my health. I completed all the goals I set for regaining mobility and strength in my knee, and even though it was a relatively minor meniscus tear, I left feeling more knowledgeable and better equipped with exercise options to keep me healthy longer.
The vibe is excellent as well- lots of talking laughing, and my favorite thing was a daily visual puzzle and weekly interest poll that keep things fun and light.

I had surgery in February 2026 for an injury that had been bothering me for 2 years. FX is the second physical therapist that I had gone to for it (the first was terrible and won’t be named). Since I’ve finished my post-surgery rehab in June, I’ve been back to going to the gym 4-5 times a week with zero issues or discomfort in my shoulder. They took the time to work through my injury, and explain what was wrong, why we were doing different exercises, and alternatives I could do if any discomfort or pain started returning. The vibe in the office is also good; relaxed without impeding being productive.
Even if “tall order” still bothers me.

FX PT is the best physical therapy place around! We have gone to both the Elkridge and Waugh Chapel locations and all of the physical therapists are wonderful. My daughter has been seeing them for sports injuries on and off for 4 years and is most recently going for surgical rehabilitation. I have also seen them for back/neck problems. They all work great with different ages understanding all injuries of all kinds. We have PTs in our area, but FX is worth the drive!

First I had a hamstring injury and then I ruptured my quad tendon and surgery that had me down for a while.
I am happy to say that I had my first race back on the track as a Masters Athlete at the Penn Relays this past weekend, Strong and healthy no injuries.
I am grateful to Dan and the team at FX for their professionalism, consistency, and commitment to me as client. From the front desk staff with scheduling flexibility, a warm greeting to each of the PTs welcoming attitudes.
It is a great atmosphere and of course keep the Polls going each day. Always looked forward to seeing what was the new poll topic on the board.

I went to FX PT from January thru April 2026 and I saw Bailey for a shoulder injury. I have nothing negative to say about this location. They were easy to schedule appointments and helped with my billing/insurance. Bailey was very professional, listened to my concerns, created a plan to help me get better and she was very pleasant and enjoyable to work with. Bailey gave me a list of exercises that I can now do at home to keep getting stronger. I highly recommend this facility.

Simply the best. I've been a patient here for a couple of years and I can attest that everyone from the front desk receptionists to the physical therapists are top-notch.
Alex (front desk) always greets guests with a warm welcome, answers any question you have, and will work with you to be sure that all logistic issues are taken care of.
Bailey (PT) did an excellent job working with me to be sure I achieved my goals and always treated me with kindness and professionalism.
Everyone at the clinic created a warm and inviting atmosphere. If I need to work with a physical therapist again I'll be sure to come right back to FX Elkridge.

Everything about FX is excellent! Staff are efficient and friendly, making appointments is easy, the place is clean, spacious and organized.
Most important of all, the treatments are focused and effective.
Ahead of my January knee replacement, I saw Dan at FX for 6 weeks of “prehab” strengthening exercises. I went back 2 weeks post surgery to for rehab. Thanks to Dan’s targeted and efficient exercises, right now, just 3 weeks post surgery I’m walking normally without support from a walker or a cane.
My surgeon is blown away at the speed of my recovery. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

This was the best PT experience I’ve ever had. My experience here was focused on regaining full range of motion in my wrist, and knee rehab after my second meniscus tear. Erica literally gave me my life back. I haven’t had full range of motion in my wrist in over 5 years and now I can do push ups again. I also haven’t been able to do a deep squat in over 2 years and I can do it comfortably now. Working with Erica was a treat because of her passion and amazing personality. I haven’t been to a PT who cares this much about me returning to my normal lifestyle routine. I’m so excited to get back into strength training and running!

Awesome place and even better staff! I worked work with both Andrew and Erica and they were great at getting me back on track so I could be fully functional. The therapists take their jobs seriously, yet simultaneously offer a warm and welcoming environment (even when the exercises are difficult). I hope I stay healthy with the treatment plans, but I wouldn't hesitate on going back here again.

Phenomenal therapists here. Andrew gave 110% in working with me to heal my injuries, of 1.5 years. He showed absolute expertise and passion for his craft, enthusiasm to improve my physical health, and provided the knowledge and mindset for preventing further injuries. He explained the issues my body had, at a level that was very understandable for myself. He also created an environment for myself that felt right at home, being that both of us have served in the military. I definitely recommend coming here for your PT needs. Thank you Andrew! John is a great conversationalist and always has a super neat haircut. I cannot say enough great things about the experience I had with Dan Sparks and all the staff at FX Physical Therapy in Elkridge. I spent a little over 6 months recovering from a broken kneecap, and I would not be where I am now if it hadn’t been for Dan’s expertise. He was patient, kind and understanding. If I went into my PT session feeling a bit gloomy, I left it feeling hopeful thanks to Dan’s ability to set your mind at ease and put things into perspective. Not only that he had a great sense of humor and a great rapport with the other therapists which made for a very reassuring and welcoming environment. During times when I could not meet with Dan, Oreofe was my therapist. Again, I had full confidence in his abilities and was reassured by his kindness and genuine interest in how I was doing.
Should anyone I know ever need PT, I would not hesitate for even a split second to recommend FX PT. You are doing an excellent job hiring the right people for this type of job. When I had my injury, I said that I would never take my mobility for granted again. Now I am walking and going about my days as normal but always in the back of my mind I’m conscious of the hard work and support it took to get me here. Can’t express how grateful I am – Thank you!

My experience has been nothing short of amazing. I had an ankle injury a year ago, and unfortunately spent 6 months at another PT facility that specialized in working with the elderly. My Injury occurred while I was still in my 20's...so doing those exercises that focus more on sitting, standing, and walking only didn't provide me with the mobility I needed as someone who's young, athletic, and active.
My PT, Oreofe (O), exceeded my expectations from day one. From the testing equipment used to test my strength and mobility, to revisiting those tests periodically to track my progress. I was able to do things I never thought I could do again with little to no pain such as barbell squats, hopping, jumping, running. We always eased into these exercises, and now I am fully confident that my work with O has taken me so far. He is so kind, patient, and always ready to explain what we're doing- as well as why. Additionally, the other PTs were always friendly and kind to me in passing - as well as the front desk staff. They are always super pleasant to me. You will NOT regret FX Physical Therapy. They were my beacon on hope while I was in a time of recovery.

This has been one of the best physical therapy experiences I’ve had. I work with Andrew Hinton to treat my injured shoulder. The sessions feel encouraging instead of stressful. He explains the exercises in a way clear and easy to follow. He always takes the time to demonstrate and correct my form. He’s always looking into the latest research to give the best care possible! I feel confident I’m getting the most effective treatment.

I highly recommend FX Physical therapy. As a CrossFit athlete in my 40s, Matt Bourdeau has been amazing keeping me healthy and treating my various injuries. He was also instrumental in rehabbing my shoulder post major should surgery. The whole office is wonderful and a great place for 1:1 PT.

Be aware of their pricing estimates. Prior to my first visit I received an email from FX PT that they had called my insurance company and determined my deductible had been met so my responsibility would be a $40 copay for the visit, which I paid at my visit. The actual PT session was fine, no complaints. I then got a bill in the mail for $258 for the visit. I called Privia (the parent company) who referred me to my insurance company (Carefirst) who informed me they had no record of an eligibility inquiry on my account. Then if you look closely in the original email from FX PT they have a disclaimer about their pricing estimate saying it is actually your responsibility to check with your insurance company and it's only an estimate. I never would have agreed to a $298 PT visit and pretty much feel like I got bait and switched. Either they or the insurance company are being untruthful about the eligibility inquiry. You decide, either way I won't be going back. Gave them 2 stars rather than 1 because the actual PT session was fine.

With great pleasure, I will recommend this facility to my colleagues or anyone in need of help. The environment is friendly, and comfortable. Walking inside are friendly faces and one feels at home and not scared of the next step.
My therapist, Mr. Hinton, is one in a million. Very brilliant, kind, etc etc.
He first showed me the muscles causing my disability or inability to work. He was very patient and dedicated to making me well as if my problem is all he has to deal with. I got well within three weeks. I can only recommend this Guy, call Andrew. I hope other therapists learn from him. Very lucky me.

I had a fantastic experience at FX rehabbing damaged tendons in my foot and increasing ankle strength. My PT, Oreofe, was excellent: professional, highly competent, and personable and great to work with. He knew when and how hard to push, and when to throttle back if needed. I highly recommend this group to anyone needing PT. Simply put, they got me better, and back to being able to do the things I love to do.

FX physical therapy is THE best physical therapy facility in MD. Their facility has state of the art equipment and excellent physical therapists. Dan Sparks stands out as one of THE best physical therapists. He's friendly, cool, extremely competent in the field of physical therapy, and very wise. Dan taught me the PT exercises I need to stop the pain in my lower back. I'm sure my back will be back to normal very soon because of the PT exercises that Dan taught me. Additionally, the front desk staff are very nice. In particular, Alex is very good at what she does and is always proactive in making sure I book my appointments ahead of time to ensure that I get the time slots I want. FX Physical Therapy is number 1 in my book!!

FX Physical Therapy's team in Elkridge has been extremely helpful in my ACL surgery recovery. I've been working mostly with Dan and he's made sure that my exercises are effective and tolerable. After a major injury in pickleball, I required extensive rotator cuff surgery. Before my surgery I was very apprehensive about a post op rehab/recovery program.
I actually visited 6 PT places in the area to check out their facilities, physical therapists and programs. Fortunately, I decided that FX in Elkridge offered exactly what I needed and I was later not disappointed with my choice!
Not only is this a clean, well-equipped facility with state of the art equipment and technology to assist in a personalized treatment plan but the staff of Oreofe (known as “O”), Bailey, Dan, Matt and Alex are the GOATS of PT!
This very competent staff is super friendly and welcoming to everyone. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable, supportive and very committed to their client’s recovery and well-being. They each take the time to listen attentively and they genuinely care about your progress and concerns. They also always coordinate your individual goals with your doctor’s protocol orders to design a program that is always progressive & cautious, yet challenging. I was very impressed with their knowledge of anatomy and their use of technology to constantly measure & evaluate my progress. By use of both subjective and objective analysis, they monitor your recovery progress, and then assign appropriate exercises to support your recovery plan. There was always a clear explanation, and often print outs or emails, for exercises to be done at home to supplement progress.
Scheduling is always easy and convenient, thanks to their secretary Alex. My personal team of physical therapists (Dr.“O” and Dr.Bailey) were amazing! They were both extremely patient and always encouraging as they shared their expertise and dedication to my recovery process. Thanks to them, I now have full range of motion in my shoulder and have also gradually increased my strength, flexibility and endurance to hopefully now allow me to get back on the court and enjoy my return to pickleball.
As a bonus, I thoroughly enjoyed the fun camaraderie among 'O', Bailey, Dan, Matt & Alex. Their stories, interests, weekly polls of everyday questions, and their shared support for each other and all their clients always contributed to such a welcoming atmosphere.
Needless to say, whether it’s an injury, surgery post op, or just an annoying pain that bothers you, go to the FX PT Center in Elkridge and I guarantee you won’t regret it. They would deserve the Gold Medal if PT was an Olympic event!

I am incredibly thankful for the care and expertise provided by Dan and Matt during my 12-year-old daughter's recovery from a slight tear in her hamstring. [Playing Travel soccer] We were fortunate to have been referred to them by a close friend, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made.

The staff at the Elkridge location have been amazing since my first appointment. If you are ever looking to come here, ask for Oreofe! As a retired athlete suffering from knee injuries, he has helped with strengthening my knee. My knee feels way better than when I first walked in and I know I can always refer back to his exercises if I need to. Besides seeing real results, a laugh was shared at every appointment. Your hard work won’t feel so hard at FX.

When you are seeking the skills of a great Physical Therapist, the best is Dr. Dan Sparks at FX Physical Therapy. Whether your discomfort is from general movement or, in my case, a torn tricep from powerlifting, Dr. Dan is the best there is. Being a powerlifter himself, Dr. Dan understands heavy lifting and safely brings you back and into shape. Can not recommend Dr. Dan highly enough! Coach Sparks, Alex, and the team at FX Physical are simply AWESOME—hands down! From scheduling, rescheduling, and even accommodating short-notice cancellations due to my migraines, they have been phenomenal since Day 1.
I was referred to Coach Dan Sparks by my sweet daughter, who previously had physical therapy sessions for a lower back injury. I was immediately impressed by how she disciplined herself to follow Coach Sparks' plan to achieve back strength and overcome her injury. She is a source of inspiration to me. Naturally, when an unfortunate injury befell me and my doctor recommended physical therapy sessions for my sciatica nerve and arthritic knee issues, I instinctively knew that I wanted my physical therapy sessions to be with Mr. Dan Sparks.
Currently, I am still in PT sessions, recovering for the long haul and continuously maintaining my progress as I build my toolbox with the necessary tools Coach is providing me to be strong and adapt. He always motivates me to "look at the glass half full versus half empty."

The Place Where Everyone Knows Your Name
Or, at the very least, that’s what it feels like.
From the moment you walk in, to the moment you walk out, FX Physical Therapy in Elkridge has a welcoming environment that easily fosters a comfortable rapport not only between patient and therapist, but between all the patients in the office at any given time.
O—or, rather, Dr. Oreofe Ajayi—is genuinely one of the best physical therapists I’ve ever had…and I’ve had plenty over the years. Not once has he ever doubted I could achieve the goals set for each session, and he’s always made me feel capable by the end even when I came in trepidatious I could do what he asked. I know without a doubt he’ll go on to do great things in his career—I would be more surprised if I checked back in twenty years and didn’t see news that O became a preeminent physical therapist for the east coast.
If ever I find myself needing another round of physical therapy, I will be fighting for my referral to go back to FX Physical Therapy in Elkridge.

Literally the sweetest and most understanding care team. I keep having scheduling issues with working two jobs, but they're always helpful and patient with it.
Also the workouts to help with my joint issues are always manageable and easy to add to my daily routine so I rarely miss a day, but even if I do Bailey is very understanding and just encourages that I do them as best I can and as often as I can. This truly feels like a judgement free zone and I really enjoy it here

I had a total knee replacement and by attending my PT sessions and doing assigned homework I am progressing rapidly. I am very excited and really look forward to my PT sessions. This was my first time in PT and I truly learned more about my body mechanics and healing from my injuries than I could have imagined. I am much more conscious of my posture/form when walking and exercising now. Sam is a really excellent PT, very gentle and kind, but he also pushed and challenged me when I needed it. I always appreciated his care, sharing his knowledge with me, and treating me as a full person and not just my injuries!

I started going to FX PT to help me with training for my first marathon. I had some minor pain that I wanted to address, but more than that, I wanted to learn how to avoid injuries while increasing my mileage. Sam Monticello was extremely knowledgeable and spent time with me to develop an effective strength program. I saw a lot of improvement and ran successfully without injury! Avery was also extremely helpful with scheduling sessions. I cannot recommend FX highly enough.

My doctor at Johns Hopkins Community physicians recommended this practice to help me with chronic hip pain. After a few months of hard work with a physical therapist at FX Physical Therapy, I have seen strong improvement. Thoughts about a possible hip replacement are no longer on the horizon. My pain has been completely resolved, and I can now do activities that I enjoy, such as ice skating and dancing! I am very pleased that I listened to my doctor and tried FX Physical Therapy. These therapists really know how to get results. Getting results is the main thing and the plain thing. This is my story and why I give them a five star rating.

Mason is doing a great job helping with shoulder and back pain. I've been to other PT places and prefer FX as they don't waste time. I've been to other places where they tell me to do the arm bike thing as a warm up while my pt guy goes and talks to someone for 15 minutes. None of that here, they figured out my issue and started working on it.

Unfortunately I've had several occasions where I required PT. It wasn't till I experienced FX's approach that I believed therapy can really help after an injury. To that end, Sam Monticello at FX Therapy helped me tremendously. Having one-on-one sessions and setting personalized goals kept me pushing to improve my limitation, and eventually achieved near 100% recovery. No doubt that with my home exercise plan and a little more time I'll be there at 100%. FX has a great PT model, and I'd recommend you seek out Sam as the therapist

I work for Route 1 Athletics & I have also been a patient of FX Physical Therapy. Matt, Mason & Sam are all great at what they do, and Avery does a great job helping everyone at the front desk! They genuinely care about their patients and their well-being. I would recommend them to anyone in need of physical therapy!

Definitely the best physical therapy I have ever received out of 5 different places over the years! The therapists are extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient, and listen to you well. The office staff always answer the phone right away and are very flexible with appointment changes. You are doing exercises for the full appointment time so I always feel I am getting my money's worth. I recommend this place to all of my friends now.

Colin is amazing! He's very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and friendly; I highly recommend him. He personalizes your recovery to your physical fitness interests, and adapts your home exercises the equipment you have available. He moved me along quite quickly, albeit safely, and he seemed as excited about my progress and successes as I was. I like that he is also a strength coach, in addition to being a PT. He understands the joy of an active lifestyle, and wants his patients to share that.
I was out of the gym for 6 months with hip and back problems, including back surgery. My surgeon told me to never lift more than 10 pounds again in my life. Colin was shocked at that, and, after a thorough physical evaluation, had me lifting more than that in my first session, and had me back to CrossFit within 3 months. I was so impressed with him that when my wife needed PT, she went to Colin, also.

Staff is great and it's the ideal place to train. I had Colin as my PT. He was knowledgeable and personable. It was like talking with a friend AND helping me heal through my injury. Highly recommended if you're looking for physical therapy/rehabilitation.

My PT Matt was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely attentive and very helpful. I have been to other PT's and Matt is by far the best. Extremely professional and very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable the entire time and knew I was being taken care of. I felt better after my first session and cant wait to go back. I highly recommend FX Physical Therapy, the entire process from start to finish was great.
