Physical Therapy in Downtown Baltimore, MD
FX Physical Therapy provides 1-on-1 physical therapy in Downtown Baltimore, inside the Under Armour Performance Center at 10 Light Street. Every physical therapy session is spent entirely with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We’re located in a converted 1920s bank building, one of Maryland’s most unique training facilities. The neighborhood brings us a specific mix: attorneys and finance professionals working long days at a desk, Inner Harbor runners, CrossFit and barbell athletes, climbers, and post-surgical patients who want rehab that ends somewhere much better than “no longer in pain.”
As part of the FX Physical Therapy network, our Downtown clinic operates under one philosophy: Built to Make You Better.

Meet Our Downtown Baltimore Team
Dr. Emily Garguilo, PT, DPT, Regional Manager
Dr. Emily worked with Division I athletics at both the University of Maryland, College Park, and at UMBC during her doctorate studies. She came to PT by way of personal training and group exercise coaching. She treats runners, field-sport athletes, and post-surgical patients, with a focus on dry needling and getting people back to full activity.
Dr. Sophie Silver, PT, DPT
Dr. Sophie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Liberty University. She trained at a rock climbing specialty clinic in Chattanooga and completed a pelvic health rotation with FX Physical Therapy before joining the team. A marathoner and ultramarathoner herself, she treats climbers, distance runners, shoulder and rotator cuff cases, and prenatal and postpartum patients working back toward their previous training.
Dr. Kayla Yi, PT, DPT, LMT
Dr. Kayla completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She holds CrossFit L1, L2, and Kids certifications, coaches under USAPL, and is a licensed massage therapist. She competes in CrossFit and plays rugby with the Baltimore Flamingos, where she also serves as team medic. Strength athletes and recreationally active adults are her wheelhouse, and she builds every exercise to scale to where a patient actually is that day.

Our Downtown Facility Inside the Under Armour Performance Center
Therapy at most rehab clinics ends with a mat and a set of resistance bands. Ours doesn’t. Because we operate inside the Under Armour Performance Center, your rehab can move onto turf, onto a platform, or into the same equipment you’ll be using when you’re discharged. That shortens the gap between “cleared” and “back to training,” which is usually where reinjury happens.
At FX Physical Therapy, every visit is delivered 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. No rotating between providers, no portions of your session handed off to an aide. One of our Downtown team of three will adjust your plan around your training load and your calendar week- to-week instead of handing you a generic protocol.

Whether it’s a joint, muscle, or tendon injury, we help you restore mobility, calm the pain, and get back to moving well in everything you do.
Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
We guide you through each stage of surgical recovery to restore mobility, then strength, then real-world movement, so you rebuild safely and with confidence.

Sports Physical Therapy
If you’re working back to training or competition, we focus on what gets you there safely: strength, movement mechanics, and gradually loading your body so your injury doesn’t return.
Strength, Mobility & Performance Training
Once you’re out of pain, we’re here to keep you progressing. We build your resilience and performance, carefully moving you back to the activities you love and with the intention of keeping you there.
What People Are Saying

I worked with Kira for about three months to the point where I felt stronger than before my injury. And we avoided surgery!!! I decided to transition back into my gym routine with a personal trainer. Kira even reached out to the trainer and gave him the whole history of my injury and our PT regimens to make sure I have no setbacks and we train the way that works best for my body. I think that really goes above and beyond.
As of today I am in the gym "full time" and feeling stronger than ever. No pain, no looseness. I highly, highly recommend Kira if you need PT for anything. And while I was there, it seemed like all of the other PTs were equally knowledgeable and friendly, so FX downtown is a great place to be.
Thank you, Kira and FX Team!

Working with Sophie has been an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I always look forward to our sessions, knowing I’m in great hands. Jess is amazing too! The entire team here creates a supportive and motivating environment. If you’re considering physical therapy, this is definitely the place to go!

Jesse at the front desk is friendly and attentive. He promptly addresses scheduling and payment issues and always finds alternatives.
Everyone is friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I had a nagging biceps tendon injury that was preventing me from doing much in terms of strength training. But now I’m back in business, ready to get back to my old self after a very frustrating period of time.
Thanks again to FX, Sophie, and Natalie!

Thanks Sophie!

It’s truly an amazing atmosphere; everyone is so nice, respectful, caring, and attentive that I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and efficient physical therapy services - “It's not just rehab, it's a journey to a new lifestyle!”

However, in our first session, my anxieties were instantly relieved. After discussing my personal physical fitness goals and how my ankle was limiting my ability to achieve them, Sophie crafted a personalized plan for me that met my needs and was flexible to my schedule.
Each session I felt like I was learning new things, I felt supported as I fumbled my way through various exercises, and I felt like I was being pushed to my limits. Slowly, we began to see progress, and after about 2-3 months, not only is my ankle better but so is my strength and mobility across my entire legs and core. I went from not being able to balance on one foot on solid ground to doing so easily on an unstable surface while catching and throwing balls.
A big thank you to Sophie and all the staff at FX Physical Therapy that made this experience possible!! I highly recommend anyone reading this sign up for an initial evaluation session!

From the beginning, scheduling appointments has been a breeze, which is incredibly convenient! Emily and Sophie focus entirely on your wellbeing during each session, ensuring that every issue is addressed with utmost professionalism and genuine care.
When I first started, I could barely walk due to my injuries. Thanks to their expertise and tailored treatment plans, I have progressed significantly and am now back to jogging! Their commitment to my recovery has been unwavering, and I genuinely appreciate the personalized attention they give to each patient.
If you're in need of physical therapy, especially for sports-related injuries, I highly recommend FX Physical Therapy. Emily and Sophie have truly made a difference in my recovery journey!

First I paid and emailed Caitlin Felice, Business Manager who assured me the account was at $0, months later received another bill for more than $100, paid again in full.
Surprise surprise today I got an email from a collections agency on their behalf for $33 dollars!!! I just paid it again, but be aware their billing department is a big mess!
beware of this company!!

I have been going to Faith for two months and I know that if I hadn’t gone once a week I would not have completed the Baltimore half marathon and I wouldn’t be where I want to be with my running practice. Faith is highly skilled at her job and also such an enjoyable person to spend 45 minutes with that you don’t mind pushing the sled across the room or getting stuck with needles. She has taught me so much about my body and ways to take care of it and be a better runner. And maybe more importantly, she holds me accountable to my at home exercises and is very encouraging and supportive.
I highly recommend Faith and FX Physical Therapy.
