Conditions We Treat

ACL Rehabilitation

When it comes to rehabilitation post ACL surgery, our goal is to help you return to your sport safely and efficiently. When you get back in the game, we want you to return to peak performance, not just be able to play. Our physical therapists work with ACL conditions to both prepare them for surgery to improve outcomes, and help them recover to safely return to their sport. FX Physical Therapy will work with referring healthcare professionals to create individualized programming specific to the athlete.

Back pain assesment performed by physical therapist

Back Pain

Lower back pains are common, debilitating conditions that can keep you from living an active lifestyle. Though you may experience pain primarily in your back, back pain is a complex condition that often stems from imbalances of the muscles and ligaments in other areas of the body. Our physical therapists can look at the surrounding muscular structures and determine if there are any imbalances. From there, we can recommend stretching and strengthening exercises to correct those imbalances, as well as manual therapies to ease pain or tension in the lower back.

Neck Pain

Neck pain can range from dull, aching pain and stiffness, to more sharp, severe pain that affects the back and shoulders. Neck pain can also limit head and neck mobility. Whether the pain is a result of a recent athletic injury, or nagging long-term conditions, our physical therapists can perform a movement assessment to determine any movement limitations, and prescribe exercises and/or manual therapy to relieve pain and improve your quality of life.

Shoulder Pain

Shoulder conditions are often caused by repetitive overhead movements or overuse, common in overhead athletes such as baseball, softball, tennis players, and more. Our physical therapists can treat the source of the pain with manual therapy, including joint mobilization and soft tissue massage, and prescribe exercises to strengthen the surrounding muscles and improve range of motion. If you’re an overhead athlete, we can also create a sports-specific program to alleviate pain and improve your athletic performance.
