Dr. Amanda Hodgetts
Physical Therapist
Amanda Hodgetts, PT, DPT, Cert. DN earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Maryland College Park and completed two years of the modern dance program. During her time there, Dr. Hodgetts was involved in various dance and public health organizations on and off campus, including Maryland Youth Ballet’s class for children with special needs. She then went on to obtain her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Baltimore.
Dr. Hodgetts specializes in performance arts populations, specifically more classically trained dancers in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, and Irish Step. She has participated in extensive dance rehabilitation training and is a member of the Doctors for Dancers Organization. Along with her education in performance arts, Dr. Hodgetts has also completed intensive Functional Dry Needling training with Aspire Orthopedic Manual Therapy Institute and Hypermobility training with The Ehlers-Danlos Society.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Hodgetts enjoys cycling/spin, baking, and reading! When she’s not too busy treating dancers or spending time with family, she loves to attend dance classes in various genres around the greater Baltimore area!
