Dr. Ellen Kam
Physical Therapist
Dr. Ellen Kam, PT, DPT, CMTPT/DN earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences at Mercer University in Macon, GA—where she also performed with the Mercer dance team—before completing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Mercer’s Atlanta campus. She later achieved certification in dry needling through Myopain Seminars and plans to add CSCS and dance‑medicine credentials to her skill set.
Ellen began her career teaching group fitness classes such as HIIT, Zumba, and Pound, then entered home‑health physical therapy with a focus on gait, balance, and strengthening for older adults. She now practices outpatient orthopedics and loves helping dancers, athletes, and people with hypermobility move confidently and pain‑free.
When she isn’t in the clinic, Ellen trains in hip‑hop and contemporary dance at two local studios and enjoys cooking, baking, disc golf, gaming, cosplay, and Formula 1.
Fun fact: Ellen appeared as a dance extra in the halftime‑show scene of the film Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk while on Mercer’s dance team.
