Dr. Kaitlyn Smith
Physical Therapist
Kaitlyn Smith PT, DPT graduated from SUNY Potsdam in 2021 with a B.S. in Exercise Science where she competed in Division III NCAA Volleyball and received her NASM Personal Trainer Certification. Kate pursued a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University at Buffalo immediately following her undergraduate program. She is currently certified in Functional Movement Screen (FMS), but has aspirations to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) practitioner. Throughout her graduate studies, Kate experienced a variety of clinical settings including outpatient orthopedics, pediatrics, nursing home, and wound care; and discovered her true passion lies within sports medicine in addition to interests in pediatric care. Throughout her studies, Kate has enjoyed applying the principles of strengthening and rehabilitation and seeing the improvements in her patients’ quality of life, no matter the impairment. In her free time, Kate enjoys strength training, yoga/pilates, hiking, playing volleyball, reading, and traveling/exploring new places.
