Taylor Gum, PT, DPT, CSCS, Cert DN
Dr. Taylor Gum is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a strong background in sports medicine and athletic performance. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland and went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Taylor brings a unique perspective to patient care through her experience as a former Division I collegiate lacrosse athlete, professional lacrosse player in both the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) and Athletes Unlimited, and multi-sport competitor. She was part of two NCAA National Championship teams with the University of Maryland in 2015 and 2017 and won a WPLL Championship in 2018. In addition to her playing career, Taylor has experience coaching lacrosse at the club level throughout Howard County and has a lifelong background in competitive soccer, swimming, diving, and gymnastics.
Dr. Taylor is committed to continually expanding her clinical skillset to deliver high-level care across all populations. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is certified in Functional Dry Needling. Her clinical interests include working with active adults and athletes of all levels, with a particular focus on sports medicine and ACL rehabilitation.
Outside of the clinic, Taylor enjoys reading, going to the movies, spending time with family, and helping train the next generation of lacrosse players. She continues to stay active through running, weightlifting, and snowboarding, and is currently training with the goal of running the Marine Corps Marathon in October 2026. Taylor also enjoys spending time with her corgi, Meeko, who is often by her side for walks and playtime.
