Dr. Lindsey Brown, DPT

Physical Therapist

Dr. Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park. She also completed a minor in Spanish there, and played on the club soccer team throughout her time on campus. From that foundation, she went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Her clinical training included rotations in sports, orthopedic, and acute care settings. In her sports rotation, she treated Division I athletes from UMD and UMBC. She helped them recover from injury and surgery. Similarly, her orthopedic rotation exposed her to a broad set of patients and conditions.

Sports drew Dr. Lindsey in long before physical therapy did, and that interest still shows in her caseload today. She treats athletes of all ages, and she is especially drawn to the movement analysis side of the work. Breaking down exactly how a sport moves a body helps her build the right plan for each patient. Every plan looks different, because every sport and every patient does too.

Progress is what keeps Dr. Lindsey motivated. She loves being there when a patient finally hits a goal they have worked hard toward. In addition to providing treatment, she educates her patients because of the impact on their outcomes. She wants every patient to walk out the door with a real understanding of movement, exercise, and injury prevention. That understanding gives them the confidence to stay active long after therapy ends.

Dr. Lindsey starts by understanding a patient’s goals and hobbies, and she welcomes every question along the way. Her aim is simple. She wants to stay on the same page with each patient, so the hard work still feels worthwhile.

Pickleball, hiking, and traveling fill Dr. Lindsey’s time outside of work, along with regular workouts. She has also picked up the ukulele.
