Dr. Mike Lawson
Physical Therapist
Mike Lawson, PT, DPT, Earned his Bachelor’s of science degree in Kinesiology at University of Rhode Island in 2018. Mike then went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2021.
Prior to joining FX Physical Therapy, Dr. Lawson worked in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine settings. There, he worked with a variety of conditions and diagnosis; from post-operative care following knee and hip replacements, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repairs, rotator cuff repair, and ankle ligament reconstruction as well as a variety of sports-related injuries, and chronic low back pain.
Dr. Lawson has a passion for treating post-operative patients, overhead athletes, and active adults. He utilizes his experience and knowledge to help athletes recover faster. He has completed advanced certification in Blood Flow Restriction Therapy to better serve the athletic populations. He enjoys helping his patients return to the things they love and developing individualized treatment plans to achieve those goals.
In his free time, he enjoys staying active with his wife and two dogs. Dr. Lawson enjoys golf, baseball, football, and being outdoors.
